Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $53,803 - $58,269, which includes a Downstate Adjustment of $3,400, geographic differential of $6,000, and an evening/night shift differential of $575 (if applicable).

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the NYS Veterans Home at Montrose. In this role, you will provide skilled care to our residents, including bathing, dressing, feeding, general hygiene, transfer residents, care of ostomies, colostomies, and ileostomies, as well as maintenance of individual range of motion to prevent contractures and recognizing and reporting abnormal signs and symptoms of common conditions/diseases.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled care to residents, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and general hygiene
  • Care for ostomies, colostomies, and ileostomies
  • Maintain individual range of motion to prevent contractures
  • Recognize and report abnormal signs and symptoms of common conditions/diseases
  • Measure and record fluid intake
  • Assist health care team in treatments and observations
  • Perform all aspects of daily living cares

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a current NYS Nursing Assistant Certification.
