Heavy Equipment Technician

Milton CAT is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, with experience working on heavy equipment and components. As a key member of the service team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues, ensuring that our customers' equipment is running efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair heavy equipment and components using logical troubleshooting steps and Caterpillar reusability guidelines
- Order replacement parts and ensure they are correct and complete at time of order
- Clean, repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components
- Test, measure, and adjust engine and machine systems and components
- Prepare inspection and appraisal reports, as well as accurate and complete service reports
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree in a related field preferred
- Three years of experience as an earthmoving shop technician working with heavy equipment
- Experience on CAT heavy equipment or similar equipment
- DOT and MSHA certifications required
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and location. This salary range reflects the requirements and qualifications of the position, as well as industry standards for heavy equipment technicians in the United States.
