POSITION SUMMARY

In this role, you will undertake a diverse range of accounting, tax, and auditing tasks. You will be involved in various aspects of the firm's tax, consulting, and audit services, collaborating closely with the Partner-in-Charge on different assignments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions in ledgers; generate trial balances and straightforward financial statements using accounting software.
  • Reconcile accounts with control accounts.
  • Conduct regular calculations for accruals, property and equipment, and determine depreciation expenses.
  • Prepare business and individual income tax returns, including client meetings.
  • Assist in reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and additional documentation.
  • Support responses to inquiries from various tax authorities.
  • Provide QuickBooks consulting and ensure proficiency with the software.
  • Oversee the preparation of comprehensive financial statements and related reports for clients, including reviews and compilations.
  • Perform other accounting and tax-related tasks as needed in engagements and as directed by Partners.
  • Prepare payroll and sales tax returns.
  • Execute all audit functions and procedures as outlined in relevant audit programs.
  • Assign specific audit tasks and responsibilities, offering training to junior staff members, and review workpapers, financial statements, and reports prior to final assessment.
  • Draft proposals and responses to requests for proposals from potential audit clients, along with fee estimates for tax, payroll, and accounting services.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all applicable auditing laws and regulations.
  • Provide insights and feedback to the Partner-In-Charge of audit engagements.
  • Prepare or oversee the preparation of complete financial statements and related reports for audit clients.
  • Deliver training to Staff Accountants as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or qualifications necessary to sit for the CPA exam.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and taxation.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective, timely, and professional communication abilities.
  • Adaptable team player capable of working independently.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
