Role Overview
The Lead Process Improvement Engineer plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of care and ensuring patient safety through effective internal consulting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver training modules focused on process improvement methodologies.
- Identify and analyze critical areas for clinical performance enhancement, aiming to reduce costs while improving patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with Decision Support to gather essential metrics and provide advanced analytics to support performance improvement initiatives.
- Independently lead project teams to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion of assigned projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare project management and process improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and propose practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction and attention to detail.
Performance Improvement Strategies
- Develop and manage initiatives aligned with the organization's vision and performance improvement plan.
- Engage with Service Lines to identify projects that add value and adjust plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including metrics and statistics, to track progress and outcomes.
Team Collaboration
- Utilize effective communication and teamwork skills to foster strong relationships across the organization.
- Actively listen to stakeholders to understand their needs and clarify expectations, promoting satisfaction among patients, physicians, and employees.
