Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced attorney specializing in marketing and advertising to become a vital part of our Global Product, IP, and Services legal team. This senior position will report directly to the Vice President leading the Marketing Legal team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal counsel on marketing, advertising, and promotional strategies, focusing on drafting and negotiating marketing-related contracts.
- Review and assess marketing communications and creative content, including press releases, digital content, and advertising materials.
- Develop and implement a streamlined process for legal review of marketing assets, ensuring efficient project management.
- Negotiate a diverse range of contracts related to creative services, media, and talent.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
- A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 10 years with an advanced degree, or 5 years with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 15 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 12 years with an advanced degree.
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience in a marketing legal role is essential.
- Active member of a state bar in the U.S. with the ability to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Extensive experience advising on marketing legal matters, either in-house or as external counsel.
- Strong organizational skills with experience in building legal support processes and project management.
Additional Information:
This position is hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work. Employees are expected to work in the office a few days each week based on business needs.
Travel Requirements:
Some travel may be necessary, estimated at 5-10%.
Mental/Physical Requirements:
This role will be conducted in an office environment, requiring the ability to sit and stand at a desk, communicate effectively, and operate standard office equipment.
