Job Title: Senior Project Coordinator for Locomotive Overhaul Programs

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Coordinator to lead our Locomotive Overhaul Programs in Wilmington, DE. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the overhaul process, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a comprehensive locomotive overhaul program for multiple fleets, aligning with Rolling Stock maintenance regimes to achieve service and budgetary targets.
  • Create and deliver specified documentation to support Rolling Stock overhaul, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with customers to ensure understanding of overhaul schedules and material availability per contract.
  • Work closely with the material logistics group to ensure timely material delivery.
  • Closely interact with internal departments (TSSSA team and Engineering) to inform or seek input as necessary.
  • Track work progress, financial execution, and mitigate schedule risks with partners.
  • Review overhaul plans for fleet optimization opportunities, validated by engineering and customer counterparts.
  • Develop relationships and processes with customers and materials logistics to ensure performance and supply meet maintenance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle configuration management during overhaul.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Department to deliver the "Overhaul Quality Plan" to collaborators during the overhaul.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Rolling Stock (Rail) maintenance or engineering or maintenance experience in a similar industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of Rolling Stock or other similar industry maintenance techniques, processes, and procedures involving IT, planning systems, and maintenance management.
  • Previous experience dealing with suppliers and commercially sensitive issues, preferably within the engineering/rail sector.
  • Experience using project planning software.
  • Experience negotiating or assisting in negotiations on significant contracts.
  • Knowledge and experience of Lean Management.
  • Strong presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to prepare and conduct presentations and meetings at all levels of organizations, both internally and externally.
  • Well-demonstrated customer service skills, a concern for quality, strong leadership skills, and forward-thinking.
