Job Summary:The CT Technologist will be responsible for performing CAT Scan procedures following protocols established by the Radiologist, operating the CT scanner during IR procedures in the CT department, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing excellent patient care and a passion for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:- Perform CAT Scan procedures following protocols established by the Radiologist
- Operate the CT scanner during IR procedures in the CT department
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, reporting maintenance issues for equipment and monitoring supplies and deficiencies
- Adhere to all Infection Prevention policies, utilizing the appropriate PPE needed
- Maintain licensure and BLS certification
- Stay current and participate in departmental training offered
- Demonstrate courteous behavior, positive attitude, and excellent communication skills through polite communication with all coworkers and customers
- Understand and appreciate the need to provide good customer service, both internal and external
- Participate in clinical activities, such as assisting with patient flow and care, and helping to optimize throughput of patients via Radiology Transport
- Remain compliant with timekeeping rules, avoiding early, late, and unauthorized entries
- Attend staff meetings and reviews daily huddles to keep current on department communications
- Participate in Departmental On Call and Holiday Requirements
- Graduate of AMA Approved Radiologic Technologist Program
- Enrollment in or graduation from a qualified Computed Tomography program preferred
- Current BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
- Current ARRT License (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Current NJ-RADTECH License (Radiologic Technologist)
- ARRT Board Certified in Computed Tomography preferred, if not at the time of hire, within 12 months of employment
