We offer competitive compensation ranging from $31.55 for Medical Assistants to $34.80 for Licensed Practical Nurses, determined by qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:

Your role will involve:

  • Preparing and assisting patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and gathering relevant health information (e.g., chief complaint, allergies, medications).
  • Monitoring and completing Clinical Integration/Quality Improvement measures, notifying clinicians of opportunities within their scope.
  • Performing laboratory procedures (e.g., strep tests, wound cultures, specimen collections) while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control guidelines.
  • Assisting Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) with procedures such as pelvic exams, allergy testing, EMG, cautery, and colposcopy.
  • Administering routine medications under Physician/APC orders or approved protocols, including immunizations and antibiotics.
  • Coordinating necessary procedures or test requests, following pre-approved care algorithms, and managing appointment scheduling and referrals.
  • Communicating effectively with Physicians/APCs and other healthcare team members to ensure smooth clinic operations and timely patient information exchange.
  • Performing basic and advanced clinical support tasks based on specialty competencies, such as suture removal, laboratory procedures, phlebotomy, EKG, and prescription refills under clinical supervision.
  • Demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care, understanding growth and development principles, and assessing patient data to meet individual needs.

Licenses & Certifications:

For LPN: Active Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 45 days unless otherwise determined by the department leader.

For Medical Assistant: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the AHA within 45 days unless otherwise determined by the department leader.

Required Education:

For LPN: Completion of an accredited or approved Practical Nursing program beyond high school.

For Medical Assistant: GED or high school equivalency diploma and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, or two years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last five years.

  • This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of $1,250/$2,500, payable on the first paycheck following the initial 90 days of employment for qualified external candidates.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to perform both routine and complex technical skills within the Medical Assistant scope of practice after demonstrating competency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with patients, team members, and physicians.
  • Proficient computer skills, including keyboarding, navigating Windows operating systems, and utilizing electronic medical records systems.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills that enhance the patient experience.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Capability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance; for heavier lifts, patient handling equipment is to be used with assistance from another team member when available.
  • Must possess functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch, with the ability to perform fine manipulation skills.
  • Exposure to mechanical, electrical, chemical, blood, and body fluids hazards is frequent; protective clothing and equipment will be required as necessary.
  • Operates all necessary equipment to perform job duties.
