Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead Accounting Department: Manage and lead the accounting department, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation of staff across multiple sites.
  2. Financial Planning and Analysis: Partner with business and financial leadership to evaluate the financial performance of the business and identify opportunities for improvement.
  3. Integration and Mergers: Efficiently integrate financials and relevant back-office functions from businesses acquired as part of our inorganic growth strategy to enable rapid value creation.
  4. Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with other executives to align accounting practices with the overall business strategy and assist in the development of long-term financial goals and business plans.
  5. Financial Reporting: Present financial information to the executive team, board of directors, audit committee, and other stakeholders.
  6. Culture and Development: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team, including the use of evolving technologies to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of accounting operations.
  7. Transformation and Innovation: Lead the transformation of back-office finance activities to leverage the latest tools and technology, such as robotic process automation and generative AI, to drive efficiency, accuracy, and insights-driven support of strategic business objectives.
  8. Data Strategy: Support the enterprise data strategy as a thought leader and data owner for critical data domains, such as the general ledger, sub-ledger transactional data, and master data.
Additional Responsibilities and Qualifications
  1. Financial Statement Preparation: Oversee the timely preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other relevant regulations.
  2. Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets, proactively assess business risk, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  3. External Relationships: Oversee annual financial audit and manage relationships with external vendors, such as auditors and software providers.
  4. Public Accounting Experience: Strongly preferred.
  5. Publicly Traded Company Experience: Required; experience taking a company public strongly preferred.
  6. Leadership Experience: Proven track record of managing a large accounting team and driving process improvements.
  7. Technical Accounting Knowledge: Strong technical accounting knowledge, including GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Work Experience
  1. Related Job Experience: 10-15 years of related job experience.
  2. Supervisory Experience: 5-10 years of related experience of successful supervisory/management experience required to motivate and develop direct reports, as well as size up new talent.
  3. Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.
  4. Time Management: Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.
  6. Leadership Skills: Experienced in providing leadership to others regarding work-related systems, processes, and challenges.
  7. Strategic Management: Experienced in strategic management and leadership across company functions directing substantial resources over long time frames.
  8. Policy Interpretation: Experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives.
  9. Resource Management: Experience of planning, managing, and organizing resources within short/medium timescales within the overall policy framework.
  10. Software Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  11. Customer Service: Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous, and helpful).
  12. Planning and Organization: Strong planning and organization skills are required.

  1. Master's Degree
  2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
