SUMMARY:

In the role of Venue Security Specialist, reporting to the Security Supervisors, you will be entrusted with ensuring safety and security during events and throughout ongoing operations. Your responsibilities will include fostering a secure environment for all employees, guests, performers, vendors, contractors, and visitors. You will also play a vital role in executing the Emergency Response Plan and Evacuation Plan as needed, alongside assisting with investigations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

What You Will Do:

  • Uphold the Security Department's core directives, prioritizing the safety and security of our venues' guests, employees, and assets while respecting individual dignity and legal rights.
  • Address escalated security situations with appropriate measures, including issuing warnings and executing ejections or arrests when necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to the venue's Event Policies consistently.
  • Assist with directional and informational inquiries from guests.
  • Act as a point of escalation for complaints and issues.
  • Document all significant and minor incidents and investigations accurately.
  • Represent ASM Global and the Security Department with professionalism.
  • Utilize logical thinking to navigate a variety of intellectual and practical challenges effectively.
  • Adapt to diverse tasks seamlessly while maintaining efficiency and composure.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

Who You Are:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Effective communication skills in English are essential.
  • Possession of an active NYS Security Guard License and completion of 8-hour annual training is mandatory.
  • Active NY FDNY F-03 Fire Guard License is required.
  • Availability includes Fridays after 5 PM, all day Saturday and Sunday, and one weekday.
  • Ability to maintain positive business relationships with employees and managers across departments.
  • Capability to perform effectively in crisis situations and work under pressure without losing composure.
  • Exhibit maturity and sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Ability to memorize, recall, and quickly retrieve relevant information.
  • Skilled in multitasking and performing under pressure.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with personnel, guests, and vendors.
  • Understanding of legal regulations, relevant penal codes, and company policies.
  • Strong teamwork skills are essential.
  • Adaptability to changes in assignments based on events is necessary.
  • Maintain high grooming standards.
