Youth Mental Health Tech: Sunday-Thursday SWING

AMFM Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Mental Health Tech to join our team. As a Youth Mental Health Tech, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to our adolescent clients in a residential mental health setting.
Responsibilities:- Coordinate and transport clients safely to all daily activities, ensuring timely arrival and participant safety.
- Utilize intervention and communication skills in working with clients, their families, and significant others daily and in crisis.
- Rigorously adhere to all Joint Commission policies and procedures, including Waived Testing, Infection Prevention and Control, as well as Emergency Management and Environment of Care procedures.
- Proficiently navigate and utilize the BestNotes electronic health record system to document client activities effectively.
- Collaborate with the program nurse and clinical team regarding medication management, and monitor and report client behavior with medication side effects.
- Maintain the integrity of the residences, ensuring optimal cleanliness at all times and keeping the area hygienic.
- Facilitate recovery and clinically indicated activities and groups according to organization policy and document into the electronic health record.
- Conduct observation rounds, as needed to ensure client safety, and document client behavior and participation in treatment. Effectively and correctly report these in daily pass downs.
- Responsible for client attendance of daily recovery activities as scheduled.
- Assist with intakes and discharges of clients according to AMFM Healthcare's policies and procedures.
- Assist in crisis intervention when needed.
- Conduct orientation to new residents, including reviewing safety drills, exit routes, evacuation procedures, and first-aid kits.
- Educational Qualifications: Minimum- High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or any closely related field.
- Successful completion of Criminal Background Check through a CDSS/DOJ Bureau of Criminal Information & Analysis LiveScan, and ADP Selective Services Screening.
- Ability to be covered under the company vehicle insurance (valid US driver license; 4 years of clean licensed driving history; at least 21 years of age).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 20 lbs.
