Job Description

BAE Systems USA is seeking a highly skilled Senior FPGA Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Electronic Combat Solutions Hardware Engineering Group, you will be responsible for designing and developing FPGA solutions for various applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in design architecture and ownership of RTL coding, synthesis, and basic test bench development
  • Perform lab testing and product support for FPGA designs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base
Requirements:
  • Current Security Clearance (Secret) or eligible to obtain one
  • 4+ years of relevant experience with bachelor's degree (less with an advanced degree)
  • Experience in FPGA or ASIC Design/Development, including VHDL or Verilog HDL coding, digital design tools and simulators, and designer-level test bench development
  • Familiarity with revision control, static timing analysis, and internal logic analyzer
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, self-starter, and team player
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with DSP fundamentals and FPGA implementation, Matlab/Simulink, and legacy designs
  • Experience in hardware design and hands-on lab debug, Xilinx ISE/Vivado or Altera Quartus, and digital simulations with Modelsim/QuestaSim
  • Working knowledge of UVM/SystemVerilog, Radar systems, C/C++, high speed ADC/DAC interfaces, SERDES, and PCIe
