We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Cardiology Clinic team at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Observe, record, and report patient conditions and reactions to medications and treatments. Instruct patients and families on diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition, and health/wellness issues.
- Coordination of Care: Provide complex and basic nursing care measures to all age groups. Assist physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. Schedule appointments and referrals, manage charts, and coordinate patient flow.
- Quality: Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and assist with flexible sigmoidoscopies. Adhere to departmental and hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
- Graduate of an accredited LPN school
- Proficient in English, verbal and written communication skills, and computer skills
- Current Louisiana State license as LPN and BLS certification
