Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - Travel Position

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team for a travel assignment in Brick, New Jersey.

Job Summary:

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide and administer all aspects of Respiratory Care Therapy and supportive equipment under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Services, Technical Supervisor, Shift Supervisors, and in accordance with the Department Policy and Procedure Manual.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing respiratory therapy under medical direction, in the education, treatment, management, and diagnostic evaluation and care of patients in the hospital with deficiencies of the cardiopulmonary system.
  • Performing intubation assistance as well as ventilator set-up and management.
  • Gathering all information necessary to properly evaluate the patient's needs, including patient-specific disease education, testing, and consultations with other healthcare professionals.
  • Providing and documenting education to patients/caregivers based upon identified needs in an understandable manner.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

  • N/A
Education and Certifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy.
  • BLS - AHA.
  • ACLS.
  • PALS.
  • NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
  • Current and valid New Jersey Respiratory Care license and Registered Respiratory Therapist is required.
