Job Opportunity

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team for a travel assignment in Brick, New Jersey.

Job Summary

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide and administer all aspects of Respiratory Care Therapy and supportive equipment under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Services, Technical Supervisor, Shift Supervisors, and in accordance with the Department Policy and Procedure Manual.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing respiratory therapy under medical direction, in the education, treatment, management, and diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies of the cardiopulmonary system.
  • Performing intubation assistance and ventilator set-up and management.
  • Gathering all necessary information to properly evaluate patient needs, including patient-specific disease education, testing, and consultations with other healthcare professionals.
  • Developing a rapport and mutual respect with patients/caregivers and team members to foster an optimum environment in support of goal achievement.
  • Providing and documenting education to patients/caregivers based on identified needs in an understandable manner.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy.
  • BLS - AHA.
  • ACLS.
  • PALS.
  • NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
  • Current and valid New Jersey Respiratory Care license and Registered Respiratory Therapist is required.
