Primary Care Nurse Practitioner-Float Specialist

Job Summary
As a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner-Float at Akron Children's Hospital, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to patients with complex acute, critical, and chronic health conditions. You will practice in a variety of healthcare settings, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver advanced nursing care to patients with complex health conditions, including acute care services.
- Practice in settings requiring complex monitoring and therapies, high-intensity nursing intervention, or continuous nursing vigilance.
- Participate in quality monitoring through record reviews and treatment plans to ensure quality care and adherence to ORC requirements.
- Emphasize health promotion, disease prevention, and diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems.
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Licensed as an RN in the State of Ohio and nationally certified as a nurse practitioner by a recognized organization.
- Current certificate of authority and certificate to prescribe (or eligible) by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- ACLS or PALS may be required based on practice setting.
- Active membership on the medical staff and appropriate medical staff privileges.
