Role Overview:

We are in search of a committed and results-oriented Continuous Improvement & Lean Manager to oversee our Curtis Manufacturing Plant. In this essential position, you will spearhead initiatives aimed at refining operations, improving workflows, and fostering a culture of continuous enhancement throughout our organization. Your proficiency in Lean methodologies will be crucial in streamlining processes and delivering exceptional value to our clients, stakeholders, and team members. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the advancement of Continuous Improvement and Lean principles across the Wilbur Curtis product range.
  • Assist in the formulation of the annual continuous improvement strategy and actively track progress, providing support and recommendations when objectives are not met.
  • Engage in all site continuous improvement initiatives and lean workshops.
  • Develop and nurture teams within the framework of the LEAN system.
  • Facilitate the evolution of the LEAN Guideline by implementing best practices.
  • Enhance processes and procedures to support the LEAN Guideline.
  • Act as a subject matter expert across the organization.
  • Participate in the network of LEAN managers focused on operational excellence.
  • Oversee local communications and events related to site operations.
  • Evaluate, implement, and ensure the effective application of appropriate tools, processes, and guidelines at the site.
  • Manage all manufacturing resources to achieve production improvement goals while adhering to Quality, Delivery, and Cost standards.
  • Establish and enhance processes and manufacturing resources, including routing and work instructions, to optimize plant capacity.
  • Continuously improve industrial performance to achieve optimal SQCDI levels.
  • Maintain and ensure the operational efficiency of technical manufacturing resources to meet productivity targets.
  • Promote the prevention of professional and environmental risks.
  • Manage physical and information flows to meet production plan objectives.
  • Ensure quality standards are met at every production stage, from procurement to delivery.
  • Organize and manage human resources to foster a positive work environment and meet production targets.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing and production of small electronics or operational excellence.
  • Proficient in continuous improvement tools (5S, SMED, AMDEC, 5Why, etc.) and statistical methodologies.
  • Understanding of progress plan processes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement and lean tools.
  • Certification as Green Belt or Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma.
  • Strong statistical skills with proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent presentation skills with proficiency in PowerPoint.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to exceeding expectations.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage change effectively.
  • Skilled in influencing, negotiating, and resolving conflicts to achieve consensus.
  • Adept at managing multiple projects and influencing cross-departmental teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks for optimal resource efficiency.

  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
