At TAP Engineering LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to lead and support teams in the design, analysis, manufacture, and test of digital, RF/analog, and mixed microelectronics hardware at multiple levels of integration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for electronics hardware, including printed circuit boards, components, and chip-level devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test plans and procedures.
  • Develop and communicate design and process information to manufacturing teams.
  • Perform mechanical analysis, including structural and tolerance/fit analysis.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and qualify 1st article engineering prototypes.
Requirements:
  • Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph clearance.
  • BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related technical field).
  • 7+ years of experience working in electronics hardware design, analysis, manufacturing, and/or test.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • MS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related technical field).
  • Experience with electronics hardware systems architectural definition.
  • Experience with thermal analysis/modeling - Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).

This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of a polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.
