Global Communications Manager
Key Responsibilities
Utilize graphic design techniques (layout, imagery, typography, etc.) to effectively convey themes and messages through various materials: key art, digital/social media advertisements, promotional items such as brochures, banners, posters, trade show displays, calendars, and more. Employ graphic design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) to create visually compelling and impactful designs. Maintain an organized repository of graphic files, including images, vector graphics, and logos. Innovatively interpret brand guidelines while producing creative and branded designs. Collaborate with the Marketing Communications team to grasp project requirements, target audience, and intended messaging. Monitor, communicate, and assess project progress and metrics throughout the process, making necessary revisions based on collaborative feedback to ensure timely project completion. Adhere to ABB brand standards to guarantee compliance with organizational guidelines. Contribute to social media marketing efforts and assist in the development of our extensive catalog, both print and digital.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience or an Associate's Degree with at least 5 years of experience. A degree in Graphic/Web Design is preferred.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of design principles (typography, color theory, layout, composition).
- Preferred qualifications include proficiency in graphic software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, experience in web design, and familiarity with brand guidelines.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the marketing team to meet deadlines, adhere to budgets, and manage project implementation across multiple simultaneous projects.
- The ideal candidate should be adept at organizing and prioritizing their workload, effectively communicating with team members on tasks, and demonstrating a strong sense of urgency.
