Job Summary

The Oncology Care Specialist will play a critical role in managing the care of patients with Neuroblastoma and Sarcoma, ensuring they receive the highest quality treatment and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and administer chemotherapy/biologic therapy, including monoclonal antibodies, vaccines, and cytokines.
  • Coordinate patient care activities, such as phlebotomy and central venous access.
  • Serve as an integral member of the clinical research team, providing direct nursing care to research study participants.
  • Develop new insights for studies and explore innovation arising from clinical findings to practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and NYS RN License/Registration Required.
  • A minimum of three years of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and/or Oncology-related experience required.
  • Critical Care and Clinical Trials experience highly preferred.
  • BCLS, PALS Required; National Certification highly preferred.
