Job Summary

As a Benefits Administrator at Securitas Inc., you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth administration of our employee benefits programs. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service, accurate and timely reporting, record keeping, and payment of premiums. You will be responsible for recording employee enrollments in benefits and group insurance programs, as well as carrying out individual and team projects in support of processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, ensuring quality customer service and accurate reporting.
  • Record employee enrollments in benefits and group insurance programs.
  • Carry out individual and team projects in support of processes.
  • Assist with handling inquiries from field offices regarding benefits procedures.
  • Assist in resolving issues related to enrollments, eligibility, premiums, and related matters.
  • Assist with benefit programs such as medical, dental, vision, COBRA, short term disability, long term disability, life/AD&D, flexible spending accounts, wellness program, 401(k), etc.
  • Answer and interpret questions regarding the aforementioned benefit programs.
  • Analyze billing statements received from assigned insurance vendors to ensure accuracy of rates and covered individuals.
  • Validate enrollment data and premium deduction reports.
  • Ensure programs are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures, including compliance with HIPAA.
  • Enter and validate enrollment data and other information in the Company's HRIS; run system queries; maintain data and physical records and files.
  • Assist with open enrollment process.
  • Maintain benefit and employee data in the payroll/human resources systems or other databases to include employee benefit plan eligibility, enrollment, and COBRA compliance notifications.
  • Conduct benefit audits for all plans to ensure data integrity aligns with payroll.
  • Assist in special projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years of benefits experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
  • Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices.
  • Knowledge of benefits administration practices, process and techniques preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills along with Excel.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in office productivity software including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database applications.
  • Planning, organizational, project coordination and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, including oral and written communication.
  • Ability to carry out multiple assignments concurrently.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with emotional or confrontational circumstances.
  • Ability to be an effective team member and handle project assignments responsibly.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organization.

Working Conditions and Physical/Mental Demands
  • Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.

  • Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
