The Clinical Exercise Specialist plays a crucial role in the rehabilitation process for patients in need of cardiopulmonary care. Under the guidance of the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation RN and Respiratory Therapist, this professional is tasked with overseeing patient care and managing program processes tailored for adult and elderly clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the development and enhancement of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation services in alignment with hospital needs.
- Establish strong referral networks and foster relationships with physicians to enhance community awareness of available services.
- Deliver exceptional patient care and provide education to hospital staff, assisting in the formulation of effective treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and design individualized physical conditioning programs based on specific patient requirements.
- Maintain accurate patient records and oversee physical conditioning sessions, ensuring adherence to quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide strength and conditioning exercises specifically for the cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation demographic.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or a related field.
- Basic EKG experience is preferred.
- BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Technical aptitude to grasp the nuances of the cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks for optimal efficiency.
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse individuals across the organization.
- Commitment to providing a positive experience for patients, visitors, and guests.
- Understanding of HIPAA standards and regulations.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Compassionate and sensitive approach to patient care, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
