About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Lifeguard to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Erie. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for our members and guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety of all participants in the pool area
  • Provide effective and positive relationships with members and participants
  • Respond to emergencies using the 'safe-in-six' model
  • Perform equipment checks and chemical testing as required
  • Keep records up to date and accurate
Requirements
  • At least 15 years of age
  • Certifications: CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid and Emergency Oxygen within 60 days of hire date
  • Current YMCA Lifeguard or equivalent certification
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
