Job Title: Microbiologist Specialist

Job Summary:
Actalent is seeking a skilled Microbiologist Specialist to join our team in New Brunswick, New Jersey. As a key member of our quality control team, you will be responsible for conducting rapid microbial testing of finished products and raw materials using Biolumix / Soleris. Your expertise will also be utilized to oversee the environmental monitoring program of production and Microbiology area.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct microbial testing of finished products and raw materials using Biolumix / Soleris
Oversee environmental monitoring program of production and Microbiology area
Perform media preparation and growth promotion testing
Collect and analyze cleaning validation samples
Identify and verify ATCC Culture population
Record testing and results in appropriate logbooks and lab automation programs
Execute transactions for sample entry and results recording
Carry out miscellaneous validation for basic microbiological methods where applicable
Compile data obtained from testing and observations to complete report summaries
Recognize out-of-specification or out-of-trend results and assist in lab investigations under the direction of QC management

Requirements:
Hard skills: Microbial testing-plating, Endotoxin testing, Gram staining, Media preparation, Growth promotion testing, Environmental monitoring, Cleaning validation sample analysis, ATCC Culture identification, Data recording and analysis, Lab automation programs, Regulatory compliance
Soft skills: Attention to detail, Analytical thinking, Problem-solving, Communication, Team collaboration
