Oncology Nurse Opportunity at Humboldt Park Health

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse to join our team at Humboldt Park Health. As a key member of our outpatient clinic, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, provide, and document professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures.
  • Communicate and collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
  • Chart observations and activities related to patient care in our electronic health record.
  • Provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit.
  • Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
  • Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition.
  • Perform interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, infection control, and hospital policies and patient care outcome standards.
  • Collect blood specimens by venipuncture or microtechniques for laboratory analysis necessary for patient treatment and diagnosis.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of chemotherapy and biotherapy experience required.
  • Minimum 18 months of infusion experience.
  • CPR, BLS, and ACLS Certification required.
  • Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Certification required.
