Are you a seasoned financial professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the automotive industry? Our client, a leading auto industry player, is seeking an experienced Controller to join their team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will serve as a trusted financial business partner to executive leadership, providing strategic guidance and actionable financial data to drive business decisions. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for managing all accounting operations, coordinating the monthly close, developing forecasts, and managing treasury/cash management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with executive leadership as a trusted financial business partner, providing professional guidance and identifying business trends.
  • Manage and develop a small team, providing leadership and guidance to ensure the success of the accounting function.
  • Assume full oversight of all accounting functions, coordinating with multiple departments and team members to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, with at least 10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Prior auto dealership experience is a must, with a proven track record of success in financial leadership and management.
  • Experience partnering with executive management as a trusted financial business partner, providing guidance and driving results.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with CDK or related dealership software are required.
  • A CPA or MBA is preferred, but not necessary.
