**Job Overview**

At PayPal, we're revolutionizing commerce globally to make moving money, selling, and shopping personalized and secure.

In this role as a Senior Manager, you'll collaborate with our business partners in Treasury and Credit to provide technical accounting guidance for specific transactions. You'll work with a highly-engaged technical accounting team to support various initiatives across our broader Controllership and Finance organizations.

We're seeking an expert who can implement new accounting standards as issued and stay informed of specific projects being undertaken by the FASB. If you have a strong leadership background and excellent analytical skills, we'd love to hear from you.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Partner with PayPal business leaders and the wider finance organization as a lead voice on technical accounting and reporting matters.
  • Provide technical accounting expertise and leadership to the finance and business organizations on the consequences of accounting issues impacting our business.
  • Consult with business partners regularly to ensure awareness of significant transactions and potential accounting impact.
  • Assess the impact of complex technical accounting matters, apply professional judgment, and manage to conclusion.
  • Lead the assessment, implementation, and compliance with new and proposed accounting and reporting standards.
  • Assist with and present accounting issues and finance projects for PayPal executive team.
  • Provide technical accounting support within finance transformation work programs and other process enhancements.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Minimum ten years of related experience; solid experience with top-tier public accounting firm essential.
  • Experience in Financial Services industry is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and equivalent work experience.
  • CPA is required.
  • Hands-on experience in dealing with a wide variety of complex accounting issues and applicable US GAAP.
