NJM Insurance Group is a leading provider of insurance solutions, and we are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team.

Job Description

The Financial Operations Manager will play a key role in overseeing the accounting function, ensuring timely and accurate completion of essential duties. This includes month-end closing, variance analysis, and preparation of financial results.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Own the Monthly Financial Close Process - Ensure compliance with established deadlines and maintain accurate records.
  • Serve as Key Contact for Inquiries - Respond to consolidated and standalone results inquiries from stakeholders.
  • Ensure Accounting Policies and Principles - Adhere to NAIC statutory accounting policies and company policies.
  • Partner with Finance Business Process Unit - Identify and implement automation and report enhancements.
  • Analyze Variance - Collaborate with FP&A and Actuarial departments to analyze variances between planned and actual results.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field; Master's Degree, CPCU, or CPA preferred.
  • 5+ Years of Accounting Experience; 2+ years of supervisory responsibilities.
  • Previous Experience in Property/Casualty Insurance Industry preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to Cultivate Innovation and drive engagement.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. NJM Insurance Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
