About the Role

Rome Memorial Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Advisor to join our team in the Pre-Registration Call Center. As a Patient Access Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate registration of all patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Pre-Registration: Register and pre-register patients in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all necessary information is collected and documented.
  • Estimates and Financial Assistance: Provide estimates for outpatient testing to unscheduled patients and screen for financial assistance when applicable.
  • Patient Communication: Communicate with patients regarding hospital policies, registration procedures, benefits, patient rights, and patient financial responsibilities.
  • Problem-Solving and Liaison: Act as a liaison between the hospital and patients/families to resolve problems and address complaints, providing a positive and compassionate experience.
  • Education and Training: Participate in unit and hospital educational programs to maintain current skills and competency levels, and provide a positive learning environment for new hires and other department staff.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: Data entry and/or PC experience required, with medical terminology coursework or knowledge preferred.
  • Skills: Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to problem-solve and provide assistance as needed to all customer groups.
