Geographic Information Systems Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Geographic Information Systems Analyst to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will provide research support and technical services in the area of geographical information systems (GIS).
Key Responsibilities
- Administer geospatial data and conduct research analyses of this data.
- Write GIS-based statistical reports and develop training materials.
- Conduct software training involving GIS functionalities.
- Interface with external constituencies, including research sponsors, state agency professional staff, and the media.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in geography, civil engineering, or computer science or higher.
- Some GIS experience.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of cartographic/mapping systems.
- Experience with a relational database management system such as SQL Server.
- Experience with manipulating spatial data through CAD software and transforming data with tools such as FME.
