Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Bellevue Design Center. As an Electrical Engineer, you will work closely with national industry leaders and local experts to support clients with electrical engineering. This position offers multiple growth opportunities, in both technical design expertise and project management.
Key Responsibilities- Design industrial and heavy civil electrical systems, including power distribution, emergency power, grounding, lighting, lighting protection, fire alarm, security, closed circuit television, telecommunications, computer network, remote monitoring, and control systems.
- Evaluate existing electrical systems and provide design recommendations.
- Prepare technical specifications, engineering reports, and calculations.
- Perform quality control checks of design submittal documents.
- Utilize departmental design standards.
- Coordinate system design with other disciplines.
- Develop cost estimates for proposed design.
- Review shop drawings and product submittals for conformance to contract requirements.
- Perform site visits for documentation of existing electrical and control systems.
- Visit construction sites to inspect work in progress or completed and to provide solutions to construction problems.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
- 5-15 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
- Active Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes.
- Project management experience a plus, but not required.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with USACE or other federal or local government agencies preferred, but not required.
- Experience with/understanding of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Experience with power analysis software preferred, i.e., SKM, EasyPower, etc.
- Willing to work both independently and in a team environment, both in person and virtual.
- Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and make independent decisions that promote/advance the company goals and objectives.
