Our Building Engineering Services (BES) Business Group provides mechanical, electrical, plumbing, site civil, structural, and specialty design services for a wide variety of building projects. This includes public, municipal, private, and Federal project types both locally and globally.

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will review electrical documents for areas of conflict, write and edit electrical specifications, and perform electrical building condition assessments. You will also prepare design drawings, perform relevant supporting calculations and/or modeling, and provide construction contract administration support as needed.

You will work independently on small and medium projects and assist more senior engineers on larger projects. You will also be responsible for complying with all relevant legislation and corporate policies/procedures.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a PE license. You should have strong computer skills, including proficiency in Power Systems Studies software, Revit, Bluebeam Revu Software, and Microsoft Office. Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm is desired.

We also prefer candidates with 5 years of experience in electrical design of buildings, including large-scale municipal, federal and private industrial projects. Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED is also desired but not required.
