Quality Assurance Manager Role at Safran Electrical and Power

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Manager to oversee quality operations and ensure compliance with industry standards. The successful candidate will:

  • Serve as the primary contact for all Quality-related inquiries, issues, and escalations, liaising directly with clients and team members.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Quality Engineers and Specialists to achieve departmental goals.
  • Secure and uphold necessary certifications, approvals, and agreements.
  • Ensure the implementation of the Division Quality System and actively contribute to its ongoing enhancement.
  • Oversee the internal audit program to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage Supplier Quality and the Corrective Action processes effectively.
  • Implement Advanced Product Quality Planning for new initiatives.
  • Establish metrics to evaluate Business Unit performance.
  • Analyze and fulfill customer Quality requirements.
  • Document any discrepancies and recommend improvements.
  • Provide training to teams on Quality principles and methodologies.
  • Oversee the Safety Management System to ensure workplace safety.
  • Deliver regular status updates to the Quality Director and General Manager.
  • Be prepared for additional hours during peak business periods.
  • Commit to safe work practices and foster a culture of safety within the organization.
Job Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality role.
  • Proven leadership experience is essential.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of AS/EN 9100 and AS9145 standards.
  • Familiarity with Safety Management Systems.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Quality principles and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of management experience in a team-oriented environment.
  • Green Belt or Black Belt Certification is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of 14 CFR Part 21 and Part 145 regulations.
  • Aerospace industry experience is preferred.

This position involves managing a team of Quality Engineers, Specialists, and Inspectors while maintaining budgetary constraints.
