Job Summary

McAdams is a leading land planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering, transportation, and geomatics firm with offices in North Carolina and Texas. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead our Water Resources sector in the DFW metro area.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in site civil engineering, with expertise in CIP planning, stormwater management, and natural resources. They will be responsible for developing and executing capital stormwater projects, including technical design, financial management, and construction.

The successful candidate will also have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and mentor a team of design and CAD professionals. They will work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop proposals that meet their requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a production team and provide resource management
  • Coordinate and oversee resource scheduling to ensure workload and deadlines are managed effectively
  • Establish and promote quality on all projects and work performed by group staff
  • Develop proposals or contracts that ensure the contract scope is adequate for the project, provide the desired level of profitability, and ensure that the project schedule is viable
  • Understand business initiatives and concerns of current and prospective clients to recognize and promote new opportunities and cross-sell other services provided by the firm
  • Assist in the development of short-term and long-term strategic market sector plans, with focus in the DFW market

Requirements:

  • Four-year college degree (B.S.) in engineering
  • PE required
  • 7+ years of related experience and/or training
  • Highly motivated to develop the Water Resources sector within the DFW market
  • Possess technical expertise in site civil engineering as it applies to CIP planning, stormwater and natural resources
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with the ability to carry a project through the design process independently and within a team framework
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage and grow key relationships
  • Proven knowledge of budget impacts and profit and revenue expectations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous A/E/C firm experience
