Job Overview:

The Community Action Organization of Western New York Inc is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As a key member of our educational staff, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of young children and helping them achieve their full potential.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Early Childhood Educator with a passion for delivering high-quality educational programs that meet the diverse needs of preschool-age children. Your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and evaluate engaging lesson plans that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development in our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive educational programs that align with state and national standards;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and execute curriculum-based activities and events;
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and development;
  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs;
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians through regular progress updates and parent-teacher conferences;
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education and implement innovative strategies to enhance teaching methods;
  • Supervise and mentor junior educators and volunteers;
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment;
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field;
  • At least 2 years of experience working with preschool-age children;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency in educational software.
