Job Title: Special Education Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at LIFELONG LEARNING ADMINISTRATION CO. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of our students with mild/moderate special needs.

Job Summary:

The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing daily lessons in accordance with the approved curriculum. You will work closely with students and/or parents to determine and evaluate their academic plans, manage and provide services according to their Individual Education Plan (IEP).

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement daily lessons in accordance with the approved curriculum
  • Conduct pre and post-testing using standardized tests for each student
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and Special Education Program Specialists to support student instruction
  • Participate in authorized school district trainings, school events, and meetings
  • Maintain documentation of communications with students, families, and other service providers
Qualifications:
  • Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential (Mild-Moderate) or (Moderate-Severe)
  • English Language and Autism Authorizations
  • Prior experience working with exceptional learners strongly recommended
  • Eligibility to obtain a teaching permit or teaching internship
Physical Requirements:
  • Mental Demands: high workflow management, high project coordination
  • Finger Dexterity: using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together
  • Talking: especially where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly
