We are seeking an experienced Bindery Operator to join our team at Graphic Trade Printers. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various bindery machines, ensuring high-quality production and meeting production targets.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate bindery machines, including folders, booklet makers, saddle stitchers, and other equipment.
- Follow routine procedures and guidelines to ensure efficient and accurate production.
- Monitor and maintain the quality of products, identifying and addressing any issues or defects.
- Record and maintain accurate production data and statistics.
- Assist in the training and development of junior team members.
- Collaborate with the production team to achieve production targets and deadlines.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of bindery equipment and surrounding areas.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a bindery or production environment.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
The ideal candidate will be able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced production environment, with regular exposure to machinery and equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, and personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
