Position Overview

Trinity Health FirstChoice is currently in search of a mobile Surgical Technologist for a travel opportunity.

The Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in the surgical team, ensuring that the operating room is prepared and that all necessary instruments and equipment are available and functioning properly.

Qualifications

Preferred Education: Completion of an Associate or Bachelor's degree program in Surgical Technology.

Preferred Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) as mandated by the local facility.

Experience: A minimum of 18 months in the field is required for CST certification or completion of an Associate or Bachelor's degree. Alternatively, if the Surgical Technologist program has not been completed, five years of relevant work experience is necessary.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must not hold a concurrent position at any Trinity Health facility.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective communication with patients, surgeons, and other healthcare personnel, especially in high-pressure situations.
  • Analytical skills are necessary to organize and prepare the operating room in accordance with best practices.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift and position patients as needed.
  • Manual dexterity is required to handle delicate surgical instruments and operate complex medical equipment.
  • Possess a personal presence characterized by integrity, honesty, and compassion, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.

Minimum Qualifications for FirstChoice Professionals
  • Registered nurse with a valid license in the applicable state(s).
