Position Levels:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret technical drawings to effectively install controls and specialized building systems.
  • Assist installation teams on-site during project execution.
  • Provide necessary support and information to other contractors on-site.
  • Participate in troubleshooting efforts during system start-up or commissioning phases.
  • Collaborate with Climatec and other contractors to resolve operational issues beyond standard system functions.
  • Contribute to project estimation, design, and installation processes as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs for assigned projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of As-built drawings and Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
  • Update As-built information, including sensor and panel locations.
  • Conduct inspections of work performed by colleagues or subcontractors to ensure compliance with codes and quality standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Commercial HVAC, Controls, and construction sectors, with knowledge of safety protocols and electrical codes.
  • Experience with electrical equipment such as volt meters and amp meters.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical circuitry and interpret technical diagrams.
  • Proficiency in basic electrical conduit installation.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Understanding of low and high voltage AC circuitry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in the Commercial HVAC, Controls, and construction sectors.
  • Ability to empathize with others and effectively resolve issues to ensure satisfaction.
  • Proven track record of managing projects independently with minimal oversight.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials.
  • Willingness to spend significant time on construction sites.
  • Capability to climb stairs or ladders as required.
  • Maintain a satisfactory driving record for company vehicle operation.
  • Physical ability to kneel, stoop, and crawl.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
