We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer II - Tech Lead to join our team at The Travelers Companies, Inc. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building and operationalizing data pipelines, designing complex data solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data products. You will also be expected to perform analysis of complex data sources, determine value and use, and recommend data to include in analytical processes.
Responsibilities- Design and build complex data solutions using cloud platforms, programming languages, and data management tools.
- Operationalize data pipelines and ensure data quality, security, and governance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data products and support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
- Perform analysis of complex data sources and determine value and use.
- Recommend data to include in analytical processes and ensure data quality, security, and governance.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field or equivalent experience.
- Eight years of related experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Highly proficient use of cloud platforms, programming languages, and data management tools.
- Ability to deliver work at a steady, predictable pace and achieve commitments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to create innovative solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
