Role Overview:

This leadership position is pivotal in shaping a premier manufacturing organization and optimizing our asset footprint to meet the product supply demands of our North American divisions. The role encompasses comprehensive oversight of all manufacturing operations for the North American Personal Care and Tissue Businesses. You will be instrumental in the Enterprise Supply Chain, providing strategic leadership and contributing to the formulation and execution of enterprise standards.

Your responsibilities will directly influence a workforce of 5,000 Kimberly-Clark employees, with 8-10 direct reports, including Mill Managers at the Director and Senior Director levels.

Your Impact:

Influence:

  • Report directly to the VP of North America Manufacturing.
  • Engage effectively with all organizational levels and cross-functional teams, from frontline employees to Group Presidents and Executive Leadership Team members.
  • Possess decision-making authority over all manufacturing operations to ensure safe and cost-effective supply solutions.
  • Play a crucial role in broader Supply Chain and Business Unit decision-making, with the ability to influence senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guarantee that all products are manufactured safely, adhering to relevant regulations and standards, while achieving business and financial objectives.
  • Lead the implementation of the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Strategy across Manufacturing Operations in collaboration with the Enterprise EHS team.
  • Foster a culture focused on zero loss across the North American Manufacturing organization.
  • Drive enhancements in safety, quality, culture, delivery, and cost to support the efficient growth of North American businesses.
  • Oversee the effective execution of the North American Manufacturing Excellence strategy, including Operational Excellence, Lean Six Sigma, Digital Manufacturing, and Reliability Excellence.
  • Revitalize the Lean Continuous Improvement culture within manufacturing teams, emphasizing leadership development.
  • Develop the talent of staff deputies and plant functional leaders; manage performance and career growth of team members.
  • Lead the creation and execution of a five-year strategic business plan for manufacturing facilities.
  • Conduct internal and external performance benchmarking and promote best practice adoption across North America and the enterprise.
  • Drive standardization across North America, ensuring rapid implementation of enterprise standards.

  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Experience in FDA-regulated manufacturing environments, particularly in medical devices.
