Job Overview

This is a 12-month contract position in the Alabama Department of Education, requiring a minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience in elementary education or at the secondary level. The successful candidate will facilitate the system's student attendance program, develop and implement a student attendance incentive program, and implement the Early Warning/Truancy Program.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Lee County Schools' Board policies, a valid Alabama driver license, reliable transportation, and evidence of insurance. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

About the Job

This Student Services Coordinator position is responsible for facilitating the system's student attendance program, developing and implementing a student attendance incentive program, and implementing the Early Warning/Truancy Program. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning and implementing professional development activities for adults, knowledge of Lee County Schools' Board policies, and a valid Alabama driver license.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on the board-approved salary schedule. Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of Professional Personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with safety personnel and intervention specialists to manage situations and students of concern.
