Salary Information

$93,000 per year, based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Job Overview

As a Travel Laboratory Specialist, you will work closely with pathologists to examine surgical specimens, process lab samples, perform post mortem examinations, submit specimens, record findings, and more. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping healthcare providers, patients, and families receive accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pathologists in examining surgical specimens and performing laboratory tests
  • Process and analyze lab samples, including tissue and fluid specimens
  • Perform post mortem examinations and submit specimens for further analysis
  • Record findings and results accurately and efficiently
Requirements and Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of recent experience in a relevant laboratory setting
  • ASCP Certification
  • Current state license (if applicable)
