About the Opportunity
">Joulé is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Specialist to join their team in Louisville, KY. This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of a new lab's founding team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge laboratory tests.
">Responsibilities
">- ">
- Conduct various laboratory tests using automated/manual methods, including microarrays, PCR, qPCR, and NGS.">
- Perform lab tasks such as extractions, library prep, reagent prep, plating, data analysis, inventory management, and quality control.">
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment, including KingFisher, Hamilton MicroLab Star, and MiSeq.">
- Follow and enforce SOPs for specimen processing, safety, and accurate results.">
- Maintain accurate records using Good Documentation Practices and address protocol deviations.">
- Participate in quality control/assurance activities and recommend process improvements.">
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth laboratory operations and efficient test execution.">
Requirements
">To succeed in this role, you will need:

- A Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.">
- Proficient lab skills, including micropipetting, dilutions, and safety protocols.">
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.">
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.">
- Familiarity with lab information systems and computer proficiency.">
- Prior experience working in a CAP/CLIA-certified laboratory is preferred.">
- Experience working with human samples is also preferred.">
Compensation
">This position offers a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
