We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at Garner Behavior Services, LLC. As a BHT, you will play a vital role in providing individualized, one-to-one ABA support to children in various settings, including clinics, communities, schools, and homes.
Responsibilities- Implement treatment plans and provide direct intervention or support in 1:1 or group settings
- Utilize intensive behavioral interventions and follow prescribed behavior skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols
- Record data for behavior protocols and graph data for analysis
- Assist with behavior assessments as needed by LBS/BCBA and collaborate with team and families
- Write daily service notes and weekly update notes, and maintain paperwork in program books
- Report directly to Behavior Consultants or Lead RBTs and follow the BACB Ethical and Professional Guidelines
- High School Degree (official transcript required)
- Completion of 40-hour ABA training
- Physical ability to meet demands of position, including lifting at least 50 pounds and assuming various postures for extended periods
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and communication system (cell phone)
- Ability to block aggression and utilize quick body movements as indicated in treatment plans
- Basic English reading skills and basic math skills (addition, percentages, etc.)
- Current CPR, Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprinting, Criminal Clearance, and degree/transcript copies, and three professional references
Both BHTs and RBTs must receive supervision related to the implementation of treatment plans and interventions with assigned clients. Supervisors will be assigned, and 5% of intervention hours will be supervised and documented. Technicians will also participate in two documented face-to-face meetings per month, one of which must be with a client.
Additional Responsibilities- Comply with all GBS policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
- Maintain a positive attitude when working with clients and co-workers
- Employee will maintain professionalism, act ethically, and model appropriate language, attitude, and behavior for clients and co-workers
- Assist with general upkeep of the center and maintain client hygiene and assist with ADLs (change diapers, assist with clean-up, change client clothing when necessary)
