This internship is designed for individuals interested in the fields of public finance, non-profit banking, and municipal financial management.

Overview:
BankTalent HQ is a leading financial services organization that prides itself on its commitment to community engagement and local market expertise. We are seeking an intern to join our National Municipal Finance team, where you will gain valuable experience and insights into the world of municipal finance.

Key Responsibilities:
The intern will have the opportunity to engage in various tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Assisting in the execution of municipal bond purchases, loans, and leases from governmental issuers.
  • Educating local governments about the diverse range of products and services offered by the bank.
  • Identifying and pursuing financing opportunities through direct outreach to governmental entities and related stakeholders.
  • Reviewing and analyzing legal documents pertinent to financing agreements.
  • Supporting the management of channels for client product growth and referral activities.
  • Building and nurturing a broad network of relationships with clients and industry professionals.

Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Interest in municipal finance and familiarity with relevant regulations and tax laws.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new finance-related software tools.
