The successful candidate will provide information to property owners, businesses, and other governmental entities, utilizing various online services, software packages, and resources to research and communicate appropriate information.

Key Responsibilities

Provides information to property owners, businesses, and other governmental entities in person, by phone, or via email.
Utilizes various online services, software packages, and resources to research and communicate appropriate information.
Processes senior and disabled veteran property tax exemption applications.
Enters information into Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) software for qualified applicants and maintains appropriate property record data.
Monitors sales of properties with exemptions and reviews requests for Peace Officer masking and processes accordingly.
Assists with communication, including sales verification, conveyance, and agricultural correspondence, correction letters, income and expense letters, verbal and written contact with property owners and tax agents.

Requirements

A high school diploma or GED equivalent, supplemented by two years of progressively responsible experience in a business or public contact environment. The ability to meet continuing education requirements set by the Douglas County Assessor's Office. A valid Colorado Driver's License upon hire, with complying insurance. Review of motor vehicle record is required at time of hire and periodically throughout employment.
