Job Overview

A & T Striping Inc is seeking a skilled Pavement Marking Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing pavement maintenance and pavement markings in parking lots and/or roadways.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Equipment: Safely operate hand guided striping equipment, thermoplastic hand liner equipment, crack sealing equipment, seal coating equipment, hand guided grinder, and tape machine.
  • Assist with Material Handling: Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment on vehicles.
  • Clean and Maintain: Assist with cleaning gravel, rock, dirt, sand, grass, oil, grease, antifreeze, etc. from surfaces.
  • Support Team: Assist with installing various signs, wheel stops, and temporary pavement markers.
  • End-of-Day Procedures: Assist with cleaning job site area, equipment, and tools at the end of each day.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Assist with cleaning vehicles (inside and out).
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: High school education or equivalent.
  • Experience: Three (3) years of experience with crack sealing, seal coating, and striping.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Math Skills: Ability to perform basic math.
  • Blueprint Reading: Must be able to read and understand parking lots and/or roadways blueprints.
  • Availability: Must be able to work weekends when necessary.
  • Driver's License: Must have a valid Virginia driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Certifications: Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of layout a plus.
