Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Engineer to join our team at LaBella Associates. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing traffic engineering solutions that ensure safe and efficient movement of people and goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development
    • Design signing and pavement markings for roadways, trails, and pedestrian areas.
    • Conduct safety assessments and develop maintenance of traffic plans.
    • Prepare construction-related documents and analyze intersection and road section data in accordance with VDOT standards.
  • Project Management
    • Manage traffic impact study projects and coordinate with stakeholders.
    • Develop and implement project schedules and budgets.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet client expectations.
    • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in transportation.
    • 5-7 years of experience in traffic engineering or a related field.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
    • Proficiency in MS Office software.
    • Knowledge of TOPSAM requirements, Chapter 527, VDOT LAP, and Smart Scale process and requirements.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
