Key Responsibilities
- Deliver proficient nursing care to patients with a range of needs, from uncomplicated to highly complex.
- Assist with urology procedures, including cystoscopies and catheterizations.
- Perform pre- and post-procedure assessments to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Educate patients on post-procedure care, medications, and urology health management.
- Collaborate with physicians and support staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Nursing required.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- For new graduates hired with an Associate degree, employment with Medstar is contingent upon enrollment into an accredited BSN program within one year of employment.
- Prior clinical nursing experience preferred.
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the District of Columbia required.
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required.
